Annalee Virtual Museum: 2000 and today

The new millennium brought some major changes for Annalee as a company. Annalee Thorndike passed away in 2002, leaving behind a legacy of magical, whimsical creations that our current designers turn to for inspiration.

2000 and beyond:

  • 2000 Annalee comes out of retirement and designs doll for her collectors - World of Love.
  • 2001 After the 9/11 terrorist attack in New York City, the Annalee Doll company creates the "Spirit of America" pin and donates 100% of its profits to the American Red Cross.
  • 2002 On April 7th, Annalee Thorndike, artist and founder of the Annalee Dolls, inc. passed away at home after a short illness.
  • The Annalee Memorial Tribute was presented to Chuck and Karen from the National Association of Gift and Collectible Dealers.
  • 2006 Executives at Annalee Dolls bring local environmental responsibility into their boardroom by implementing a reorganization of the Annalee property. The pressure was on to configure an ecological design which would consolidate the three separate buildings into a single structure, therefore reducing the carbon footprint in Meredith.
  • 2007 One year later, the "New Location, Same Property" eco-friendly campus on Reservoir Road is complete.
  • 2007 Grand Opening of the Annalee Outlet store and coordinated online specials. Unable to visit Meredith, NH? Shop Annalee Outlet online - 24 hours, 7 days per week.
  • 2008 Annalee redesigns Annalee.com to provide an easier, more exciting shopping experience, in the world of giftware and home décor. Updates inlcude eCatalogs, larger item images with interactive zoom features, more item details and the ability to share those details with friends. All-new navigation and account profiles allow customers to take advantage of wish lists, maintain account information, receive email updates, and more!!
  • 2008 Annalee launches virtual museum online with integrated technology allowing visitors to see the small details in the face art and fabrics that make every Annalee doll unique!
